I don't know what kind of frog this guy is. He lives on or around my porch and likes my window. A few days ago I opened my dog bag (trainers bag) which I keep out side on the porch and he was inside just relaxing lol. If anyone can tell me what kind of frog is, that would be great. I'm looking for a good reference/field guide, and idea's?

Thanks for the info. Do these frogs do well in captivity? The problem I'm having is, there is SO much information I'm overloaded.
For a field guide; would try "The Frogs and Toads of North America: A Comprehensive Guide to Their Identification, Behavior, and Calls" paperback by Lang Elliott, Carl Gerhardt, and Carlos Davidson."
For a reference on USA frogs; you can do no better than "Frogs of the United States and Canada Vol 1 & 2" by C. Kenneth Dodd Jr. Can get both books at Amazon (second one is available for Kindle too) or try a local bookstore. Good luck!
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog!
We do have a care sheet: Frog Forum - Pacific Chorus Frog However, be sure to check on the legality of collecting them in your area and it's also generally recommended to remove them at the youngest stage possible if you are going to bring them in.
There is a reptile & amphibian field guide for the west in the Peterson series. I've never used it, but the Eastern version was great for ID purposes, as most of the Peterson books usually are: A Field Guide to Western Reptiles and Amphibians (Peterson Field Guides): Robert C. Stebbins, Roger Tory Peterson: 9780395982723: Amazon.com: Books
I'm not planing on getting the lil fella, just wanted o know if people kept these kinds of frogs. I like seeing him on the window from time to time.
