Which frog?

I know this has been posted a million times, but which one of these do you prefer or do you have suggestions?
pacman
Epidobates (prob tricolor)
Brown or green mantella
The tank I would like to use since I already have it is a 12x12x18. It is also my first heavily planted tank and I would like to do a background with plants on it so any help there is also appreciated. Thanks

A 12x12 is a tad small enclosure for darts/mantellas, specially after some of it's area is used up for decor and substrate. Some darts also like to climb (i.e. Imi's) and 24 in. height (around 18-20" after dead space/substrate is in) allows that.

A Pacman will fit fine until it reaches 3-4 in. Only problem I see is that, it's digging/trampling will mess up your decor and hurt any delicate plants. Pacman babies need to be started in smaller containers (plastic critter keepers) or they will stress out. You can move into 12x12 when around 2 in. If male it should be fine in there, a female will probably require a 10G as adult or even bigger if a larger species like an Ornate. Good luck !

Thank you. I have been denied permission for fruit flies anyway so it wasnt going to happen For the pacman i was planning on starting him in a keeper and then moving him to a ten gallon and i used to have one so i know their destroying tendencies so a cranwelli or a SMALL tree frog looks like my options besides a marbled hopper. Does anybody have any experience with these? Thanks,
