Good American Tree Frog Plants?

Pretty much any plant labeled "tropical" will work. A rubber plant though, will outgrow any size Viv extremely quickly though. I would avoid that species ficus and stick with the smaller ones like ficus pumilia (creeping fig)

Would neoregelia carolinae be good, even though it has small spines along the edges of the leaf?

Check out Pachiras too. In the wild they get huge but are pretty slow growing and you can prune the sap out of them too. I bought one for the Huge 48 cu. ft. Viv I am building. It is also known as the money tree and is supposed to bring good luck too if you are superstitious hahhaa. The second one is a Chocolate Orchid and smells like a box of Chocolates when flowering.
