Default Whites Tree Frog Terrarium has Murky Water! Suggestions?

Thank you 'FlyByFerns' for helping me on the forum page! Lol.

Hi there everyone! New here, would like some help! :-)

I recently decided upgrading my two adult Whites Tree Frogs Terrarium to an 'Exo-Terra Medium-Tall 24x18x24 Glass Terrarium' I finished about 3 days ago.

(Just FYI if you're planning to order one online just know that mine arrived shattered twice before receiving the third attempt a month away from the purchase date.)

There is wood, moss, gravel, and artificial plants in the terrarium (I'll upload a few images if I can.) the problems is that the water seems to be uncontrollably murky. I bought a Turtle 318 Mini filter meant for 15 gallons (which is much more than I have.) and it hasn't done anything but make it worse! I'm not sure what could be causing this, at first I thought it was the moss dying the water, or maybe even the wood, but several other terrarium have this with no problem.

Do you think it just needs more time to settle? I have read that for terrariums it's best to just let your filter turn into a natural bacteria filter, and that it takes a while.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! :-)

Where is your filtration? And how much flow is there?

The filter is on the back right hand side of the pool, there is a heavy flow, but it doesn't penetrate it's full power to all angles. However, even with a low flow I would assume I would see some kind of difference on the one side, but it's even worse on the filter side! Do you think it's mixing debris for the time being?

Could be the wood ,I'm always Leary about using it,I've had a lot of problems with it in the past.could be something else is leaching into the water, maybe something simple ,like you forgot to wash the rocks or whatever....

Well, normally, tannins from wood would cause tea colored water. Cloudiness could just be a bio bloom due to the tank just being set up. Although, that's more common in established tank.
