whites do get messy thats why I keep mine on a reptile carpet and only use fake plants for them real plants will just get crushed lol
if you want to do a real planted set up then go with red eyes they are light weight and move around delicately. Tiger legs are smaller than red eyes by half an inch or more, convicts i'm not sure like I said on insta but looking at pics they are probably smaller too.
