Default FRUIT FLIES EXPLOSION - Anyone in NC need any?

I've got Hydei out the ying-yang! Anyone want to drive to High Point, NC to get some? I don't know why people have such a hard time culturing these flies, but if you do, come take mine! Or if you want to pay for shipping, I guess I could ship some to you. PM me. Thanks.

Man I wish they would last. I have so many go to waste each week, but I can't afford not to over produce them.

When the Cope babies were on FF I had the same thing. My one culture turned into 6 and I ended up giving them to the local dart frog breeder in K'ville.

I gave like 8 cultures to Carolina Dart Frogs about a week ago. I keep texting him if he wants more, but he hasn't replied. I'll see if I can track down the breeder in K'ville. Thanks!

I may need some here soon when my tadpoles become toads, that won't be until next week though.

I bet I got some of yours then. Just picked up a culture kit from him for the baby mantis tonight.

I gave another 6 cultures to the Greensboro Nature Center for their dart frogs. I'm down to 2 new cultures and 1 producing. Just enough for my new mantids and snacks for the frogs and Camo. I might could part with one of the new cultures but I'm using a new medium and don't know its results yet. Best wait to see what comes of it.

Keep the cultures going. I have upland chorus frog tads, you might just want some new additions.

I use Josh's Frogs medium and cups and just follow their instructions. For Hydei, I add a little more water so it's like real soft mashed potatoes cuz the media can dry out by the time the flies get their groove on. I do dust the flies heavily with calcium before starting a new culture to kill off mites. Then I put the cultures in my bathroom, either near the ceiling in the winter or under the sink in the summer. I am testing out my own media right now so if it's successful I'll let u know.
