Here's a question that has been stumping me forever..why is there no such thing as a neotenic tadpole? Neoteny is not uncommon in salamanders, but how come not in frogs? I've never heard of it,,but I'm going out on a limb here and guessing that in the entire history of all of frogdom, surely there must have been at least one tadpole that never fully developed and stayed that way.has anyone ever researched this? It would be amazing to have a neotenic bullfrog tadpole, one that would never mature....
I actually do a lot of fantasizing about different animals that don't exist and I have thought about neoteny in frogs and come up with a few neotenic frogs
That's great, but don't leave me hanging..what frogs have you come up with?
Josh frogs posted one on their FB page before.
