Anyone have an experience with this? I am thinking of putting them together in a 50 gallon.
Primary concern is aggressiveness and toxicity. Plenty of plants.
What kind of geckos do you have in mind? I think the only safe geckos to house them with is a pair house geckos.
I am not sure which species it is yet. I am taking in 5 Firebellies and what he says is a "Golden Gecko" but it doesn't look like any Golden Gecko I've ever seen. Looks closer to a crested. I am picking them up today. I can house them seperately its not big deal but it would save me a lot of space if I could get them both into the same 50 Gallon.
Ok I got to look at it today, it is a female Golden Gecko.
Not a good idea in our opinion, we don't have much experience with frogs and toads yet but we are working with gecko's for years.
The toad will most likely need a water source, the gecko might drink it and get slowly contaminated by the toad's poison.
Also golden gecko's ( Gekko badenii ) aren't the most docile of all gecko species, they are most likely gonna attack the firebelly's.., if it's not a big deal and you have the room, housing them seperate is the way to go.
Greetings.
Thanks for the reply! Sorry for late response, but I set them up in their own things. Getting ready to move the Firebellies into a 50 gallon setup
can we see pictures of your set ups and/or the female golden gecko?
