So I'm new to frogs and yesterday I purchased a frog that was in a horrible setup, with nothing but a water dish and heat lamp. I was told it's a whites dumpy but after looking at all the pictures it looks way to skinny. It also has a yellowish lime color on its head.? I'll try to post a pic, hopefully its a whites so my setups right, but at the same time I hope not because it's so little. Unless every pic of whites on Google are overweight.
I dont know why the pics are upside down.
That's one skinny WTF Frog Forum - White's Tree Frog Care - Litoria caerulea Time to fatten that little bugger up.

Well im glad i rescued it. It eats like a champ so i dont know if the previous owner just starved it or thought it was a typical tree. It just fooled me because its legs are so long and skinny. Do you have any clue why the top of its head has some yellowing?
It could be fungal or stress. If it spreads at all I would get him/her to a vet. At this point cover 3 sides of the tank to reduce the stress and follow the rest of the requirements on the caresheet and he/she should be fine. Just remember to use frog safe water and keep the food coming.

Of course, thanks for the reply. I was just so questionable about it because like i said, ive never seen a whites dumpy so lanky. It looks like a white lipped minus the white lip lol. Or a big typical tree frog. It has no weight on it.
Those blotches look a lot like what my frog was showing. Dr Frye mentioned it looked like a bacterial/fungal infection (likely caused by my humidity having been too high), prescribed me a medication and it cleared right up. I have pictures of what he looked like in another thread
