Hi ,
If you are in Seattle, this will not last in the enclosure
It may completely disappear , some may come back and survive if the temps are cool enough for it- but it will not last for log and will need a dormancy period to survive.

I have some of this moss in a 3 gallon frog free terrarium on my kitchen table. It goes through lots of stages of dormancy before it takes hold. It is a very bright room and the temp , of course is never over 68F.

Mosses grown, for instance, in a dart viv are tropical species and will thrive in the bright, moist humid environment.

Most importantly...using something in a frog enclosure from the 'yard' should raise a red flag You could be inviting lots of trouble ; of which could include pesticides and fertilizers ( depending on where you live. ) ?

Black Jungle sells tropical moss - that is beautiful- will grow anywhere ( even on the glass) - and is about $17. Trouble free and well worth it.
It is ALWAYS very healthy
