Frog friends?!

I've got this pair of White's Tree Frogs, but backtracking, I had an original pair, and one became ill. I no longer have him, and was left with my one (assumed) female. To replace the original frog, I got another, and it seems as though they have been very "close"? During the day they sleep in opposite ends of the terrarium, but at night they perch together, butt up against one another, and more often than not, the little one likes to crawl on the larger and just sit on her(?) head. Doesn't strike me as a mating thing! It's a very clumsy flop on her head. Little one will sit on big one's head, and sometimes they switch, or simply sit close.

So! What's your take? Can frogs be buddies? Is it likely just a dominance thing? Posting some pics, just because they're darned cute, anyway, all taken separate days.

Silly frogs , they look nice and healthy, congrats !

The larger of them had recently had a little bacterial infection, but its cleared up nicely. Now they're just happy! Thank you.
