I can only give a description of it since I haven't had one since I was a kid but it was kinda neat and would like to find another one.
It was made for a 20 gallon long aquarium, it consists of a divider, pump, waterfall and a stream bed. The water would be pulled through the divider, gravel and then returned to the pool via waterfall and stream. Possibly made by Tetra.
Could you please post a picture?
Sorry I don't have one, I wish I did it would be a lot easier to find out what it was called.
Imagine water flowing down the face of a small mountain down a stream and into the aquatic side of the tank.
I know exactly what you are talking about! I just can't remember the name of it either, but I can completely picture it in my head. The box it came in had firebelly toads pictured on the box with the setup. I remember it being titled a "vivarium kit" or something along those lines.
I remember them. I forget what they were called, but I can tell you this, they don't maske them anymore.
Yeah I got one for my tenth birthday and had it up til I was about eighteen and then it disappeared. As ugly and cheap as it is compared to what you can get now it was the coolest thing twenty years ago. I've been searching garage sales and flea markets for years with no luck yet.
If i'm not mistaking it was made by either Perfecto or Tetra called the river tank kit.
That sounds like it.
I believe this is what your talking about. I saw it in a pet shop, sorry the pics bad it was with my phone.
That's it.
The name of the kit you are looking for is called (Tetra waters edge viquarium). Yes spelling of it is correct. I am currently building one similar to this kit. I will post picks when done. I posted a pic of one i found on the net. The last one i saw was on Ebay and sold for around $150.00. Hope this helps.
