    Question Changing sex?

I find myself wondering if my African dwarf frogs have seen Jurassic park, the part where they explain how the dinosaurs are able to change sex and reproduce due to there frog DNA. I wonder this because one of my females is mounting another female. She is much smaller then the others but she has no glands under the arms and has the little tail like the other females. Is this a feminate male in disguise or will females take on the role of males when no males are around? I had been wondering if something was wrong with her since the frog I got about the same time who was about the same size is not twice her size.

Sometimes some frogs have difficulties telling who is who and it's not a sign of a problem. I would not worry about it and let them play as they wish .
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !

My girl at some point while I was away had the operation and now is showing glands under the arms (very faint) and her tail end is much shorter then it was. She/He is singing to the others and humped my oldest girl all night last night.

I think it is possible for some frogs and toads to change their sex. I know that true toads have something called a bidder's organ which usually stays inactive but can enlarge in male toads and produce eggs.
