    Default Shy frog

Hey guys, quick question. I bought my first frogs yesterday, 5 hyloxalus azureiventris. Within a few hours in my paludarium they started exploring and one even started calling! All except for one. This little guy is still sitting underneath the piece of corkwood in the middle of my paludarium. He came out for a quick run last night but he's back there again. Is this normal behavior for a frog that just moved in to a new home? And how long does it usually take for the frogs to feel safe and secure and become more bold? Thanks!

The Sky Blue Poison Dart Frog is a beautiful frog and your enclosure looks very nice, congrats. Myself would not worry much about a shy frog as long as it is eating. If you do not see it feeding and it looks like losing weight; it might be time to move it into a quarantine tank by itself and let it get stronger, before trying to release in enclosure again. Good luck !
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !

Thanks for the quick reply! He does eat, but only when the food comes close to him, he wont move to go out and eat. He has been sitting in the same spot for hours now. I'll keep an eye on him for sure. Do you know how long it ususally takes for them to feel secure and show themselves more often?
