I think most animals need to eat less frequently as they mature... kittens and puppies need more meals in a day than adults, same is true for reptiles, I would think amphibians follow this pattern. Like Col/Jer said, maintaining weight takes less energy and nutrition than growing.

How long have you had Lil Bruiser? I'm curious about how fast pacmans grow. Mine are still all little guys.
