I noticed that the background that comes with the terrarium is Styrofoam material. Any chance of the background melting if I place the 60w ceramic heater on one corner on the front side of the tank?
Myself do not like those backgrounds because they take a large area of usable space inside tank. However, even if I don't use them, think the top's black plastic frame would melt before the heat gets to affect the background. Guess it will depend on the size of the enclosure; but as long as the dome is not in contact with the plastic, it should be OK.
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog!
