Couldn't resist. I pulled the trigger today and ordered 4 Dendrobates Ventrimaculatus 'Sean Stewart Line' today. I had the shipping delayed until Monday. I asm very excited to get these little ones in and introduced into their new home. I will get some pictures of them up when they arrive.
I think I am going to do a video walk through of all my tanks today.

Very cool Paul! I actually saw an ad from a local guy selling them for $20/frog. Took all I had to not reply to the ad lol. I do love vents though, cool little froggies

When I called Joshs Frogs and asked for 4 of them they discounted them even more. Was hard not to get 5 or 6 of them lol.
I took a little video of each tank and of the space in the basement I am slowly converting into a frog room. It's not much but thought I would share. Please forgive the numerous posts about this on the forum. I am going to put a link in each of the build threads.

The R. Vents arrived today and they are awesome! I took a few pictures before I decided to leave them be and let them get acclimated to their new home. Here a a couple pics, sorry they aren't that great.

The great escape. Had a bit of a scare this morning. Turned on all the lights in the frog room this morning. I didn't see any of the vents, but that isn't unusual. I went about cleaning the reds tank and misting and feeding the mantillas. I went to the vent tank to mist it and feed them and still did not see any, this was unusual. I looked around in the tank and didn't see a single one. Then some movement caught my eye and there was one of the vents on top of the tank (outside it). I ran and got my daughters fish net and wrangled him up and put him back inside. I quickly searched the immediate area for more but did not see any. I went ahead and put the food in the tank and started carefully searching around the frog room.
Eventually I found 2 more of them in the tank still, but one was still unaccounted for. I looked everywhere with no luck. I then decided to water the rest of the plants in the basement on the shelves and out hopped the 4th one from the fern. I wrangled him and placed him back in the tank. I looked over the tank for escape points and found a small small small small space where the silicone did not make it down into. I put silicone in it and then put plastic wrap on the inside of the tank to keep the frogs from accidentally getting into it.
Phew what a morning!

Yikes!!! That is always scary to find them outside the tank. I remember when I moved my grays into their big tank. The next morning I woke up to find one of them sleeping on top of the tank! The other 3 were still inside. Turned out there was a small spot where screening and silicone didn't connect and she managed to find it.

Glad to hear you found them all! We have all had that happen from time to time. I had an imitator get out last week, only to find the little darling the next afternoon. I even lost a white's for 2 months. How he survived in my basement for 2 months without food or water, I have no idea, I was just pleased as punch to find him! Lol

Yeah I was completely relieved once they were all safely in their home. I haven't had a fatality or lost a frog yet *knock on wood* and was afraid I was experiencing my first this morning.
Sorry I have been MIA for the past week or so. I lost my job recently so the hunt is on for the next great thing lol. I am lurking and reading when I can, just don't have the time to be as involved as I was.

Wow! Nice terrarium! I dont know is this a right place for this question, but i have same size exoterra, and im planning to get some Mantella betsileos to that. But will they use the height of the terrarium, or should i get some Ranitomeya specie or something more climbing?

Thank you! M. Betsileo males like to climb above their territories and keep a lookout. In a tank this size I would only put 2 in it. They will fight each other for dominance.

Wow, what a build! And the frogs are gorgous! I can't wait until I can aford a pair of darts... I am so looking forward to it! I am so glad you found all your new babies! I had a similar experience, and I found my greys all over the house. My cat even brought one to me and dropped him at my feet, lol. I do hope you find a new job soon, thats terrible news. I loved the thread tough. and the build is much more afordable than I thought it was. Maybe I will be able to set up a dart tank sooner than I thought.
