I wouldn't feed wild caught insects, pesticides are undetectable and kill quickly, as can any parasites the bugs may be carrying. That sucks that Florida outlawed dubias! They are THE best feeding insect! Now that I have dubias I no longer feed those smelly, loud, nasty crickets. Can you tell I hate crickets LOL!
You could try setting up your own feeder colonies, like colonies of mealworms, waxworms, whatever you feed. It's not as difficult as you may be thinking for the meal and waxworms. Just provide food, bedding, a heat pad and egg crates for them to climb in to metamorphose and that's pretty much it!
