I'd be worried if wild insects have transmittable parasites and/or have been exposed to pesticides from someone else's yard, especially if you live in a neighborhood. Never used that though, I always feed store-bought/self-cultured insects (dubias).

The Bug Napper is a discontinued product. Main consideration when collecting bugs, regards of method used, is that they do not contain pesticides, etc. For those living in the country that might be a possibility. However if you live in a city, even if you do not use them, there is a high chance your close neighbors do. In Virginia Beach where I'm located, even the city drives trucks around neighborhoods with huge pesticide smog machines during mosquito season.
Have you ever consider starting a Dubia colony? You could easily cut your expenses way down once it starts producing.
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog!
I would start a dubio colony but I live in florida. State law dont let online retailers ship roaches to florida. None of my local pet stores carry roaches
