My son who is 9 is the proud owner of a White's Tree Frog. He has recently been asking of we can put a real Venus Fly Trap in her cage. My first fear was that the plant would hurt her but then again, she is much bigger than anything a fly trap would consume... then I questioned the environment and whether or not is would be conducive for the plant in the fist place. That seems to check out okay... not perfect but close enough that I think the plant would live. I could not find anything to indicate that the plant may be poisons to amphibians. Does anyone have any experience with this? I do not want to do anything that could potentially put his frog in harms way. On a side note: I would just get him the plant to live in the window sill but I fear our cats would eat it. O_o
