    Default He's getting darker!

Thanks for all the advise and help! He seems pretty heathy, eating more than any other pacman I've ever had. I gave him the name FDR because I name most of my frogs after presidents haha

A frog that is eating well points to a healthy one, so maybe it changed color in response to environment. On a note apart, FDR appears to lack the two false eyespots behind the horns that characterize an Ornate.
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !

I hope you will keep us updated on FDR. I've never seen such a dramatic change!

Its in response to the environment. They will darken to blend in. Coconut Fiber substrate usually causes the frog to darken and try to match the dirt.

As for that odd posturing. It could be a defensive position in reaction to you photographing him, but I'd like to see an updated picture of him sitting on a flat surface just to be sure. As Corlos said, eating well is a sign of a happy healthy frog, but need to be sure something else isn't apparent.

That's a keen observation. The first photo, to me, does look like an ornate though. For the record the second pic looks ornate to me, as well, but I suppose if you cover me up on EcoEarth I will look like an ornate horned frog, too!!! LOL!!!

The spots are there. The angle of the pic makes them hard to see. They are close to the bar across the frog's eyes. They can be seen in the first picture posted on this thread.
