Hello Guys,
I am attempting to set up a vivarium. I currently have a Exo Terra 36 X 18 X 24. I am setting this up to be a memorial in which I will be placing a urn with my mothers ashes inside. My mother passes away last month and she loved frogs ALOT. She had over 500 items that were frogs!!!. I keep alot of ball pythons but know nothing bout frogs. I have been reading up and learning as much as I can but could find nothing about the next question. Is there any spray or protective sealant that I could use on the urn so rust from the mister does not diminish the urn? I want to place about 4 Red Eye Tree fogs in with everything because it was her favorite type of frog. This was the best way I could thing of remembering my mother in my way. Please tell me if it is possible because I would really like to set this up. Below is the picture of the urn I have.
Thank You
Shane

This is an amazing idea. My suggestion would be to seal the urn in an acrylic box, then place it in the vivarium. That way, you are not altering the urn in any way and you don't have to worry about it hurting the frogs, or even worse, that gorgeous urn![]()

There are a few products that may help you; google these two and see what you think. Drylock and Zavlar. Both are latex based waterproofers.
Michael's craft stores have different sized clear acrylic plastic boxes available. If non fit, you could have a custom box made of clear plastic or 1/8 in thin glass too.
If going with RETFs, please do read our care article Frog Forum - Red-Eyed Leaf Frog/Red Eyed Tree Frog Care - Agalychnis callidryas and do a full quarantine on the frogs before releasing them in your live vivarium. Last thing you want is for a problem to show up once frogs are in there. Good luck!
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog!

Google Drylock Clear. It is a Crystal clear waterproofer. Should work great for your project.
Drylok Makes a Crystal clear " Waterproofer " too. Should work great.
