Stop feeding ACF freeze dried foods. You can feed thawed frozen foods, pellets (if frog will take them), or live foods (black worms or chopped night crawlers). Water conditions are important with them and if bad it can affect the frog's growth.

If you have a seasoned filter with good bacteria growth can change 25% water weekly; but if no filter need to do 25-50% daily water change with same temperature dechlorinated tap depending on tank and frog size. Good luck !

I don't know why it is, but the freeze dried food, I have heard, can make your frog bloat up. I had to change my ACF recently to frozen food from little pellets. He really resisted. After giving him only the new food for a few days he eventually accepted it. Just don't put the old food in, and she won't have a choice.

Those water changes you see people talk about on here are just as important as they say. Just changing water can change their mood, has saved my tadpoles, and make the frogs feel like eating again. Don't neglect the water change!

Basically freeze dried foods tend to coagulate in the intestines of fish (and frogs) which can cause intestinal blockages and constipation if fed in excess. Considering freeze dried foods are also virtually void of any nutritional value the logic of wasting money on freeze dried food is dubious at best.

Yup, partial water changes of 25% weekly are probably the single most important thing many people who keep aquariums fail to do. Aquariums are not "set it and forget it", it's amazing how many people I know (not on this forum) think you can jam multiple fish in to a 5 gallon tank and nothing will go wrong.. I would wager 95% of the problems keeping ACF (and fish in general) have are due to improper husbandry. I simply cannot stress enough how vitally important proper maintenance is to the health of your frogs, bacterial/fungal infections and red leg are almost always caused by poor water chemistry and are basically completely avoidable.
