    For some reason this forum doesn't like that site. I know which one you are talking about and it is a good site for info on frogs and diseases that effect them.

    Maybe it's because they're so anti-pet? Kerry is very adamant about ending the pet trade--even with captive bred animals.

    There is a great probability of an Earth future where numerous amphibians will become extinct in the wild. A concerted effort by serious loving hobbyists could keep and save some of those species in captivity. Ending the pet trade will close out that opportunity... just saying !

    That is true, even today the amphibian population is declining rapidly in the wild. I am not against the pet trade, as I have been keeping frogs and toads as pets for years and it is a better way to preserve species as frogs and toads tend to live longer in captivity than in the wild; however to good things there are also always bad things. However if people go to far to protect an animal, then its probably be best to stay far away from them.
