In a few days I will be cleaning out the old substrate and cleaning the grow enclosure for Cedar, I seen how many of you give your frogs warm bath's ( 80° and for 20min ) my question is how do you keep your little guys warm during those 20 min? I wanted to test before doing it so I put about the right level of water ( temp accurate ) in the container I want to use for his baths and the temp dropped way way down to 70 in less then 5 min here.. how am I to keep that temp up for that long?? Would a heat pad on low on a towel be ok.. or should I try and move the heat lamp?
Guess that would be an issue in a very cold room. When administering a bath (very infrequently for impaction or applying meds), a towel draped over the plastic critter keeper help keeps the heat in.
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog!
