    Default Ornate Adult Size

About how big do ornate horned frogs get? I heard they get around six inches, so I bought a larger water dish just in case. But if it's smaller, then I want to buy a smaller dish to add more land space. Can any ornate hobbyists give me some info?
    No frogs currently!

Ornate frogs are the second largest Pacman species with females reaching up to 6 in. and males 4 in. If starting with a baby or smaller (less than 3 in. juvenile) you still need to start with a smaller water dish in a small enclosure to avoid stressing out the frog .
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !

There are reports of Ceratophrys aurita (the Brazilian Horned Frog) reaching up to 10 inches svl, but I have never seen proof of these claims.

The biggeest Pacman frog I've seen is in a video on youtube called something like 'world's biggest pacman frog' and it's a huge Ornate, so the females definately can get very girthy. I've read unconfirmed reports of Ornates reaching 8 inches svl, but they generally don't go over 6 inches.

Ornates are awesome because they get big and they look amazing. Hope to someday get one of my own. Good luck with yours and show us some pics if you have the ability. See ya around!

Edit: I just realized your frog passed away recently. :'( I'm very sorry for your poor little frog. My deepest condolences, CinnamonPearl. Hope you give Pacs another try in the future.
