    Default New Pacman frog owner

    Hello,

I just got a Pacman frog for a gift and I was doing research to care for him/her and I found this forum. It is neat.

Thank you. This helped a lot. I have already began to get everything but the calcium dust. I didnt know about that. I have a question about the temperature. Do I need a light or a heat mat? The lady at the pet store said I should have a "warm" side and a "cool" side. The cool side being where the water pool goes. I do not want to dry him out. How do I know what the gender is?

What is the frog's size (body length from snout to vent)? What is the enclosure size? Asking because need to match enclosure to frog size; then consider heating options.

Myself prefer to warm enclosures with a Ceramic Heat Emitter on a Fluker's dome with built in dimmer. Pacmans should be kept at 82F (can drop 5 degrees at night) and there is no need for a temperature gradient. Humidity should be 70-80%. You can use these schedules for supplements: http://www.frogforum.net/food-feeder...schedules.html. Good luck !

He is right at 1 1/2 inch. Cutest fellow ever. Right now he is in the travel carrier. Just got him a bit ago so I haven't changed his enclosure yet.

That is still a baby and requires day temps of 82F and daily feedings .

What about the lighting? What wattage bulb and do I need different one for day or night? Also very curious on how to get the humidity right.
