Mushrooms have popped up in my FBT tank sporadically, always on the rotting wood that I have in there (the wood is in contact with the damp soil). The wood is a piece from the pet store that is a hollow cave. I did nothing to encourage the mushrooms, but I get some awesome shelf mushrooms as well as little cap mushrooms. Try adding some wood to your enclosure.

What i usually do is get a small clay pot, half-filled with moist sand or garden soil then topped with bark chips, wood chips and leaf litter and seal the whole pot with a kitchen plastic wrap then put it somewhere like in the basement, inside kitchen cabinets, behind the fridge or even under your bed (yes, i did lol). Unwrap and mist it every 2-3 days then wrap it again. Usually less than a couple of weeks you have a lot of fungi growth already

Are mushrooms not poisionous? Like they wont make the frogs trip out or anything? LOL. I think some would look nice in my fbt tank, but I am 17 and live with my parents, so they probably would think I'm trying to harvest mushrooms of the magic varity haha

Not all. Poisonous mushrooms are poisonous if ingested. The spores or scent of shrooms being toxic is a myth or a byproduct of too much animes but even if a frog/toad accidentally ingests one, if it ain't chewed the toxins won't be released. That's the reason why animals who eat poisonous plants like turtles/tortoises are rarely affected but somehow their flesh can sequester the poison so if another animal eats them, that animals gets poisoned. Either way, frogs don't have digestive enzymes to breakdown shrooms or plant matter so they just normally pass it out if ever they do ingest some.
