Ok so I bought my Pacman on sunday I setup his terrarium perfect heat, humidity, everything ( I have done my homework i also have prior expirience) but when i went to feed him with tongs he just didint seem interested. I feed my whites with tings and he just smashes it but for some reason he just doesnt want it. Thus spawning the question whats the best way to feed my Pacman besides tongs?
The crickets are frozen i thaw them.
he pooped as soon as he got his new tank.
He seems healthy the person i got him from told me that he is healthy.
THX alot
Hello and welcome to FF! Not all Pacman frogs take to feeding from tongs and most require live foods to produce a feeding response. Recommend get some not dyed Canadian night crawlers in local bait shop and try feeding those. You can cut them from pointy end to mouth size for babies and body length for juveniles. Here is an excellent care article for them: Frog Forum - Pacman and Horned Frogs - Ceratophrys - Care and Breeding.
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog!
Thanks should I put the crickets in his tank? And feed him that way or put him in a desperate tank to get best results I will defiantly get night crawlers though. Lol new frog gitters
Seperate
As long as substrate is right (shredded coco fiber = EcoEarth or Plantation soil mixed with dechlorinated tap until slightly damp and clumps in fist without dripping water out) you can feed frog in it's home. Crickets should be gut loaded with lettuce, carrots and crushed cherios/oats 24-48 hours before feeding frog. You also need to supplement it's food, more information in here: http://www.frogforum.net/food-feeder...schedules.html.
