    Default Feeding Reptiworms.

Is it ok to have Reptiworms™ as part of a staple diet, feeding the appropriate size etc ? My little guy eats crickets right now but going to buy some nightcrawlers and was looking to see if these would also be ok to feed on a rotating schedule.

These are the canned worms and insects right? If so then its ok. The problem is getting the frog to accept them.

Reptiworms, Phoenix Worms, and Calciworms are all registered trademarks of companies rising and selling worms of the Black Soldier Fly - Hermetia illucens. Imagine the only difference between them companies is how they are raised and fed.

Like all worm larvae, the issues with them are the chitinous skin cover and higher fat content when compared to earthworms. Think if already using an earthworm diet you do not need to supplement with these. Most Pacman frogs will be fine with a diet of supplemented night crawlers and roaches. Good luck !

Thank you very much, trying to get the little guy/gal to eat nightcrawlers now, he keeps backing away from the wiggly thing, will keep trying but guess I am going to also go back out n get some crickets for tomorrow after I gut load them if I can't get him to eat the worm later tonight. Checking now to make sure I got the right worm and not those disgusting red wigglers if so back to the bait shop too lol

If frog is a baby you need to cut from pointy end into mouth size bits and tong feed. If juvenile cut them same as frog length. Once frog reaches 3 in. can feed them whole.

Yep tried it, the piece I cut off kept on wiggling and each time it wiggled the frog backed up into the hole he had burrowed, I dropped in some crickets and he/she popped out n started to catch them, maybe its the tongs idk.

Try dropping the cut up worm in front of the frog. Don't use the tongs, use your gloved(rubber glove) hand. I can't find any night crawler here because no one sells them. Also they are not native to Alaska unless someone has introduced them. Dolly Varden and RainbowTrout don't eat many worms here. It's against state law to use live bait, only artifical lures in fresh water.

Will try that next time I buy worms, going to hunt down the Canadian type next time see if it makes a difference. That happens to be the one thing we have around here is bait shops, they have both crickets for bait and worms, the crickets put up quite the ruckus every time someone opens the door of the fridge they are sitting on to grab worms.
