    Default Frequent molting is good...right?

Gherkin is doing his second molt in 2 weeks and about his 6th in the two months that I've had him. Neither of my other two do this as frequently...of course, they don't eat as much as him either! Having just lost a frog, I guess I need confirmation that this is a good thing and it means Gherkin is healthy and well, normal. Thanks everyone!

I read somewhere ( I dont know if it was a credible source) that frogs can molt as often as every few days (they didnt specify what species or anything) to keep their skin soft and permeable.

again i cant be sure on the soundess of this information but i hope it helps

I have pixie who seems to be molting at least two times a week. He is young and growing quickly, and seems perfectly fine.

Thanks guys! After losing two frogs last week, I think I was being a bit paranoid, too. Gherkin, on average, has molted every two weeks, more than my other two, so I was concerned that he was abnormal. However, he was mighty thin when I first got him, and now he is plump and pleasantly round, so I think he is just making up for lost time. I didn't realize that older frogs (he is almost 8) can shed just as much as younger ones. Learn something new everyday. Thanks again!
