Try dropping the cut up worm in front of the frog. Don't use the tongs, use your gloved(rubber glove) hand. I can't find any night crawler here because no one sells them. Also they are not native to Alaska unless someone has introduced them. Dolly Varden and RainbowTrout don't eat many worms here. It's against state law to use live bait, only artifical lures in fresh water.![]()
Will try that next time I buy worms, going to hunt down the Canadian type next time see if it makes a difference. That happens to be the one thing we have around here is bait shops, they have both crickets for bait and worms, the crickets put up quite the ruckus every time someone opens the door of the fridge they are sitting on to grab worms.
