ok, a little update. this project was put on hold due the the Banker (my wife) informing the client (me) that the bank would not be financing this build, so the client needed to save some cash for last weekend's reptile show. so, now that the show has passed, the client contacted the contractor (also me) that while he is storing funds up, he should go ahead and have the other subcontractors start doing the "lesser expensive" parts of the build. so the contractor contacted the architect (me again), to find out what could easily be accomplished at the time, but the architect was off designing the inside of the actual tank and has been missing in action for weeks. we're afraid he may be passed out in a gutter somewhere, drunk, out of ideas..lol so the contractor contacted the electrician (guess who), and gave him the go ahead for wiring the inside of the cabinet for power. excited, the electrician went shopping for materials but forgot a crucial element. retainers for the wire in the gang boxes, but he promised the contractor he would have the unit wired for power by the end of the weekend. also, the painter (yeah, you guessed it), committed to having the cabinet primered by the end of the weekend as well. so hopefully, but sunday evening, there should be some new photos for everyone to see!!
also, for the first time, i have acquired the residents of a build before it was completed. you may have seen them in other threads. One of my frog queens, Lynn (FlybyFerns) gifted me two absolutely beautiful Ranitomeya Imitator "Varadero". these little ones are truly amazing. I cannot thank you enough Lynn!! here's a few pics of the little ones. Well, one of them. one is always hiding and i have yet to see him/her out in the open
yeah. that's my gnarly looking fingertip in the pic, just to show how tiny the adorable little lovelies are!!
