    Default Proud new Ranitomeya keeper!

I got a breeding trio of thumbnail dart frogs at my local reptile show on Sunday! One of them passed away due to chemicals on a few of the plants I bought, unfortunately. I'm gonna see what I can do about that. I'll post pictures of Clay and Gemma (the two remaining frogs) and their vivarium soon.

Sorry about the dead frog Brett ! How do you know it was the chemicals? Where the other two frogs exposed?
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !

Sorry for your loss, but I'm also curious as to how you know it was a chemical problem on the plants.

I purchased two of the plants from a vendor that wasn't selling any dart frogs. Or any amphibians for that matter. They acted like they were dying, so I put them each in their own quarantine container and they started acting normal again within hours. I put them back in the viv, and the exact same thing happened again, except one died. So I went out, bought new plants, new soil, and new leaf litter. I put them back in the viv again, and the two surviving frogs are doing great now.
