Remodeled today and put in live plants. A small pothos on opposite sides on the bottom in about 5 inches of soil. A cork bark round at the back pinned against the glass filled with soil and housing a jasmine vine. All that work and only one of my frogs woke up and all she did was look at me and go back to sleep. Hopefully they like it better.![]()
Looks good, they will love the real plants! The wood looks like Grapevine. If it is it will start molding and rotting very quickly in an environment that gets humid at all. Just a friendly heads up. Other than that small precaution I think the tank looks good![]()
ThanksI'll keep an eye on the branches and switch them out if I have to. Realizing now that jasmine vine is going to be a nightmare for getting hiding crickets out of too haha. Not much of a green thumb so hopefully I can keep these plants going. Theyre suppose to be pretty hard to kill.
Pothos is nearly indestructible if you keep it watered. I feed my tree frogs from a bowl i place in their home. Crickets can't jump on glass so no hiding crickets to mess with. The frogs actually stare at the place the bowl should be if I am late putting it in lol.
Do what I did for my whites.
I got a small turtle dock and got a hole saw and cut a hole in the part that bends down large enough to place a small white bowl in level with the dock.
got some plastic coated magnets glued them into holes drilled into the side just deep enough so the magnets sat flush.
to make a adjustable feeding shelf and I never had a posse cricket in my enclosure again. and in the house.
I will make a thread on its construction later.
