Greetings fellow hobbyist. This is my first frog as i'm venturing into the frog hobby. I've been a tarantula keeper for the past 5 years. Hope you guys can guide me in this new found n awesome hobby of mine.
I have a doubt to clear. According to the seller, my C.cornuta is a C.B and the seller has been feeding it on feeder fish. I want to know if fish will make a good feeder for my C.cornuta. I read that, C.cornuta diet mainly compose of fishes and frogs, so is it ok for me to feed mine with fishes(livebearing) or frogs? Is that a healthy diet for it? i tried feeding it crickets but it doesn't seem interested in it; had to force feed it.
Hope you guys can shed some light over my doubts.
Fish can be a healthy diet but you have to be careful regarding the source of the fish. For example the feeder fish in most pet stores are kept in unclean and cramped conditions which results in the fish having high disease and parasite loads that can be passed on to your frog.
If you want to feed fish the best bet is to breed them yourself.
You can also try earthworms as a staple diet but you'll have to tong train your frog to take them.
P.S. your pics aren't showing up for me

Hello and welcome to FF! C. cornuta are very challenging frogs and not normally recommended as a first one. Would not force feed a healthy frog because it does not like a food, it's a very stressful experience to them.
Some captive bred Cornutas are being raised on fish as a replacement for their natural frog diet. You can also try night crawler or similar earthworms cut around same length as frog and offered same as fish. Goldfish should be avoided as feeder fish. Small mice (pinkies for baby's) can be offered once a month. You can follow this care article with jut a 5% increase in humidity (80-85%). Good luck!
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog!
Check and let me know if you can view the pictures. I've already edited the post. Hope you can view them.
Anyway, thanks for your advise...will try to feed it earthworms in the coming couple of days.
Say, if i feed it fish as a staple diet, must i still provide it calcium and vitamins supplements?
Thanks for the advise.....
Holy cow what a cutie! I'm instantly jealous!
As far as supplementing goes, I'm not sure since I don't feed my frogs fish. My guess would be yes, you still need to.
Griff or Carlos will probably know for sure
