Handling White's tree frogs

Hey,
I have researched alot about this specific type of frog as a pet and after researching in depth everything i need to know about having one or two as a pet. But one thing one all the different forum's, pet site's care sheet's ETC all have very conflicting and contradicting views on whether to handle these types of frogs. Most owners seem to believe that their frogs enjoy being handled, and relish the chance of being picked up and handled, some even say theirs love being handled about once a day. But some sites most care sheets seem to say only handle when you need to. But they all agree that these frogs are placid and do not mind being handled. So if the frogs enjoy being handled and are not in any risk of being hurt or damaged then i personally don't see the problem. So what is every one else's views on this matter?

As long as your hands are clean and free from oils and other contaminates. And you mist them with frog save water so your hands are moist I see no issue. Now I'm NOT condoning handling them like you would a puppy or kitten, but if you're looking to have them rest on your hand for a few minutes, knock yourself out. When mine are in the palm of the hand I'll spray a little water and they'll hunker down into the warmth of my hand, tilt their head to the side as if to say "ahhhhh". I do handle every frog, toad and snake a day and check them out with a magnifying glass. Now if they are stressed and are trying to escape from you or pee as soon as you hold them, then by all means leave them alone, no need to stress out your buddies.

I believe it's ok to hold your White's Tree Frogs. They seem to be a nice docile species. People just need to wash their hands and be careful. A friend of mine owns one, and she told me they are AWESOME with kids. Sometimes they even know when you bring out the crickets and wait for you. They have also been seen watching pets with interest. They are a totally ok species to handle.
