I just picked up the zoo-med 18x18x18 terrarium from petco for $25 off. What are some beginner dart frogs that can be housed in groups for this size tank? Thanks a lot. I'm thinking of maybe getting bumblebee toads later on down the road.
Any of the beginner level ground Dendrobates should be fine in there. If you look around Josh's Frogs website he has many nice articles on their care.
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog!
That was really helpful. I'm leaning towards the Dendrobates leucomelas. How many can be kept in the 18x18x18 tank?
I would keep 3; if sexed 2 males and one female.

MJK412,
Congrats on getting into the dart frog hobby. At www.genesisexotics.com we offer beginner setup kits for dart frogs. These kits have everything you need (except a tank and light) for a fantastic starter tank at a great price! Plus each kit comes with a vivarium setup sheet. All of our frogs come with detailed care sheets when purchased and we even give a 14 day "live and well" warranty on all frogs we sell. We currently have many great darts to choose from.
I also have a lot of leucs available if they perk your interest. There's an add in the classified section. Just my 2 cents. :-)
