I have a shrimp tank running that I will be converting into a ADF tank, The ADF are welcome to snack on some shrimp. I can not seem to get them to breed. This time I am going through a breeder and want to do everything right. My main problem is, The filter i have is rated for a 35 gallon but its a sponge, I have read many places that sponges are not good for ADF. Any other filter I have will whip the little ones around.
Sorry if its been posted before its very late.
Hi,
sponge filters are just fine for ADFs. In fact, any filter will do as long as the current is low and the frogs can´t be sucked in. I use sponge filters in all of my frog tanks.
Amphibians kept:
9.10.3 Hymenochirus boettgeri
2.4.0 Xenopus laevis
0.1.0 Hypselotriton orientalis
3.0.0 Hyloxalus azureiventris
4.1.0 Pipa parva
2.1.2 Bombina orientalis
1.0.0 Ceratophrys cranwelli
2.2.0 Bombina orientalis
Sounds great thenI am hoping to get a pair of each acf and adf but I am having trouble finding an acf breeder
