    Question tarantula/scorpion care question

So, obviously these guys need water; large shallow dishes so they don't drown. Not a problem, got that down. I also know that tap water is a no-no.
I have been treating the water with a very diluted solution of seachem prime and water. Is this safe for ingesting or should I look for another product?

Actually, tap water is just fine.
I'd actually be more worried about what's in prime than tap water. If it worries you, just simply let the water stand overnight before using it.
I've used water straight from the tap after my collection increased and never had any problems.

Thanks, I have heard that they couldn't handle the chlorine or whatnot, but if you have had yours thrive, then why waste my prime?

I don't use prime but I've always used the same treated water I always use for my frogs

Hm, since it essentially does the same thing it should theoretically be just as safe?

I also use plain water. Harmful chemicals and gases have usually evaporated by the time your scorp/T decides to take a drink. Chlorinated water is only dangerous to inverts if it gets in their book lungs

So would you say it does more harm to chemically treat than to not?

No, not really. It just goes to show that inverts are not as delicate as most people think

Looking it up, it seems to do essentially what seachem prime does. So perhaps they are comparable?
I just want to make sure I'm not doing something foolish with the water
