    Default Feeding enclosure

I want to feed my Pacman in a separate container because I feel like he eats just as much substrate as he does food. I don't handle him much. The few times I've tried putting him in a separate enclosure he got extremely stressed, so obviously wouldn't eat. Should I continue putting him in there for short periods to get him used to it, or just forget about it? The other night he hopped around the entire time and kept crashing into the walls. although i hate to see him so stressed, it was exciting to watch, as he typically only moves when I scoot him out of his hole and into his bath.

From your post it's obvious your frog does not like an empty bin, so recommend you do not stress him out, frog could get sick. As long as substrate is shredded coco he should be able to pass it.

An option is to train frog to tong feed. Another option is to try and place his food on a shallow dish. Place the dish in frog's enclosure and observe how frog reacts to it. Once frog considers it part of decor, then you can start placing food on it and see if frog eats from dish. Good luck !
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !

Thanks! He's been getting better about the tong feeding, but we still haven't perfected it. I use the ecoearth, so I know it shouldn't hurt him.. But why eat dirt if you don't have to? I'll have to try the plate, can't imagine he'll mind all that much.. I have his bath dish and a larger water bowl for humidity , neither if which he seems to have a problem with-- he actually likes to burrow underneath them!

I think the reason your Horned Frog is burrowing under the water dishes is for shelter. Do you have any thing it can burrow under? That could be stressing it out too.
