My frogs got in today and I was wondering what color night light would be the best for them at night and is 60w too much? Thank you!

Nikko,
My Reds hate any kind of light at night. I have tried a 25w red light. I even have 4 blue LED lights that I try to turn on to get them use to it, but they HATE light. They are currently in the Living room and even the soft glow from the TV bothers them from time to time. They are going to get relocated to the new frog room I am setting up in the basement in the future because we know they will be happier in a darker quieter place.
I use the light on my cell phone to spy on them from time to time, but it does really bother them. It is really hard not to watch them all the time, but we try to leave them alone as much as we can.
Ok awesome! I will leave them dark at night. Also I built a waterfall in my terrarium is it ok to leave that on at night for them?
Yeah that shouldn't bother them at all.
Ok good, thank you for the help!
No Problem that's what we're here for![]()
I agree w/ Paul.
I spy with a little flashlight.
I have tried both red and blue bulbs.
IMO both bother them , despite what is written about this subject.
You could put on a dim light ( several feet away ) .
It usually doesn't bother them much as long as it's not on for a long time.
You'll know if it's too bright ---- the will simply close their eyes
Paul, "new frog room" ? you got the BUG !Have fun
Lynn
