Green tree frog something wrong

Hi there I noticed this mark yesterday can someone tell me what it is I have no vet in my area qualified in this thanks in advance

tank is is clean and other frog is fine it's just my boy looks like he also has two dark spots down the leg area to small to get photo of any help would be great what can I do to help him please I don't want to loose my baby
he is fine within himself eating n normal activities
My enclosure has waterfall heaps of foliage which is not different since got them a year ago also have a 5watt UVB lamp on for 8hrs a day and humidity in tank hovers from 80-90 percent I have a feeling he may have caught himself on a piece of driftwood which has now been removed and replaced with a bigger bit thanks heaps

Hello and welcome to FF Michele! Hum... my first response is to take frog to a herp veterinary. That large light colored area in the frog's shoulder does not look good at all. Is it just a discoloration, or is there any elevation to it? You mentioned a possible recent injury; was frog skin broken in that area?

If it's an open wound; recommend move frog to a hospital like enclosure. If it's an infected injury; need to get a plain topical antibiotic without any painkillers. Neosporin will work, so will silver based ones. You can apply with a Q-tip over the affected area twice daily.

Your humidity is quite high for a White's; think 65% is about right. Also, they do require good ventilation and a basking spot that gets to 85F (30C) during the day. Please answer above questions to try and figure out what is the problem. Good luck !

Hi there it just looks like discolouration and a little raised not much but he hasn't hurt himself nor broke anything I am with them a lot the skin isn't broken or anything like that and his acting pretty normal and they are in a proper frog tank with a lot of ventilation and the set temp for the water is 26 as it's summer here and been very hot the humidity has been up n down a lot due to air conditioning also where can I get the newsprint I have no herp vets near me at all I only have normal everyday vet and they are not much help at all

Also I have had my frogs for over a year now and never had any issues I run everything as per vet/ pet shop recommendations

You say that the water is heated???? That is not necessary. Is their a heater in the water?

It looks like some kind of infection, but I can't see the area clearly. Definitely needs the attension of a Vet.

If discoloration is raised; then it's probably caused by a pathogen, unless a skin reaction to a chemical substance or a burn. Is the lightbulb or anything hot (i.e. water heater) able to touch frogs skin in enclosure? Have you introduced anything to enclosure lately or handled frog without washing your hands well and rinsing with dechlorinated water? If not; then it appears your frog is sick.

Antibiotics will help if issue is bacterial; but not much if subcutaneous parasites. Also, if a fungi a different medication is required. Sorry; but it's hard to tell just from a picture. Can you please answer the below questions to try and get a better idea of whole situation? Also; what topical non-analgesic antibiotics are available locally? Can you get Melafix and Pimafix at your local pet shop in the fish area section? Thank you !

16. How old is the frog
17. How long have you owned him/her
18. Is the frog wild caught or captive bred
19. Frog food- how often and if it is diverse, what other feeders are used as treats
20. How often the frog is handled
21. Is the enclosure kept in a high or low traffic area
22. Describe enclosure maintenance (water changes, cleaning, etc)
