Cane toads would be my pick over the treefrog(although I have an uncanny nature to prefer toads to frogs), because cane toads adapt easier to captivity and not only that they live a LONG time, oh and not to mention they are huge and cute. You should get a sexed pair. ;] Females are fatter and bigger btw.
