DYI Gel food

I am going on vacation for several weeks and have given some thought to making my own gel food for my fish and ADFs. I am pretty sure it is OK for the fish, but am concerned about the frogs. Will the gelatine cause problems for them? I feed them pellets which I would grind to dust and mix with Knox unflavored gelatine. Any thoughts or information would be appreciated! Thanks! or

If you plan to leave a large block of gelatin food in tank during vacation; that is a bad idea . The food will decompose in water once frogs get their first fill (assuming they eat it). When traveling for weeks, you need to find a frog sitter; there are no options to that .

Sorry, Carlos, I didn't mention that I do have a frog sitter; my daughter is staying here at the house. I want to make it as easy as possible for her, so I thought I would have her drop a tiny piece of the gel in each day and remove what they don't eat after a couple of hours. I would try this system out myself before I leave to see how it works, but aren't sure how the frogs would tolerate the gel. Has anyone tried the gel or do you know someone who has? If not, I will dump that idea and stick with what I know. Thanks!
