Guys I really need some help. I have been to many websites and top of the line reptile stores asking for information regarding my frog. I am applying everything you guys said about care and he will show interest for only a second and then he just will sit there and the prey will get away. I have a rat in there with him right know and I am watching to make sure nothing will go wrong. But I am getting tired of looking for what may be wrong with him. It has been 4 weeks of stress and I really do not want to lose him. Should I just leave him alone for a week and then try to feed him?

You said its winter and cold out right? Frogs can sense the changing seasons and when they sense winter has set in they usually slow way down in their appetite. You must be patient. It can take up to a full week for a frog to adjust to new surroundings too.

Yes for the past 2 months we have had single digit weather and record snowfall. This past week was the first week it was in the 50s. Thank you so much your words are bliss to me. My frogs are like family to me.

Just don't give up on him.

You can also bathe him in a Diluted Electrolyte solution. Go out and buy some Unflavored Pedialyte. Mix the dilution at a 10 to 1 ratio. So for every 10 ounces of 80°F dechlorinated water add 1 ounce of Unflavored Pedialyte. The bath does not have to be deep enough that he is swimming. About half his height is all that is needed. Soak for 20 minutes then make a second bath of just dechlorinated water of the same temp to rinse him off. After this return him home and let him be for the rest of the day. You can keep trying to feed him so keep offering food each day.
