Can I use mopani wood in my semi-aquatic setup for my frogs? I've been soaking it for a week (with water changes) and it still releases tannins. I got Zoo Med's Mopani.
Also, can moss and epiphytes grow on mopani with it being such a dense wood?
Yes, and yes.

Mopani is notorious for releasing a ridiculous amount of tannins. That why, in the aquatic world, we try to use manzanita. Almost identical in density, but less tannins.
