Hello,
I went from starting off with terrariums (fake plants) and all sorts of varieties of lizards and frogs. To growing into just frogs and learning to love them. Been through alot of tough losses with frogs though. Needing pesticide and fertilizer free plants in the tanks along with a special soil called ABG Mix -or- better paper towels at the end of my frog keeping journey. Learning how to not mix speices and all that usefull knoledge. Oh what a headache it can be, but for the passionate its surely a great adventure. I decided to retire my frog keeping and learning to admire them from their natural habitats and would rather educate if possible if I have run into some problems other people have and fix before its too late.
Recently been to GUAM, USA and discovering the seriously invasive CANE TOADS which was once thought to be introduced to guam to eliminate one of the type of beetles they had on the island. No one knows to be exact. I literaly saw so many I decided to grab a 5 gallon bucket and said I wonder how many I can catch (and return into the wild) in one hours time frame. Well I ended up catching 77 toads in 1 hour time frame. Quite an exciting adventure!!! No toads or frogs were harmed in the process and returned after the hours timelapse. CANE TOAD VIDEO
Here nor there.... I have decided to start building once again but this time only for plants and to have an aesthetically pleasing looking living room. I actually plan to use miracle grow in these for the time being so no pets can be placed inside but I learned to love the plants for the healthy environment they seem to give my home.
This was actually my first time making a vivarium of this nature. I got my technique from Deranged Chipmunk sometime ago. Thanks Bill. Your ideas made my home look so much better .
I ended up using:
-ECOEARTH -GREATSTUFF -TITEBOND3 - CORK/BARK PIECES -VARIUS PESTICIDE / FREE PLANTS (I will study the names and the origins of the plants throughout my builds) -BIOBALLS -SUBSTRATE NETTING - MIRACLE GROW MOISTURE CONTROL SOIL - GREEN SHEET MOSS - T5 BULB.
Thanks for reading.

Hello and welcome to FF! If you fertilize lightly with Seachem Plant products (made for aquariums with fish, inverts and amphibs), can also keep frogs in enclosure .
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !
I just wish that 12x12x18 didnt cost me close to 260 dollars for all the materials
LLL REPTILE / HOME DEPOT was the supply sources. Retail Value =(. At least I have some ecoearth and titebond 3 leftover!
Yeah, it adds up real quick doesn't it? Lol that's why I never discuss the $$ amounts i have invested in my builds
Btw, I loved the story that went along with the pics. I'll watch the video tonight.
