Can anyone please ID this frog and provide some info? I got it about two weeks ago at a local pet store (L.A. area)... labeled oddly enough as a "Green Tree Frog". Clearly it isn't. I did research and narrowed it down to the specie "Hylarana*taipehensis"... also known as the Two-Striped Grass Frog or Taipei Frog. I see no caresheet or any info on the web. Just scientific analysis gathered over seas. Does anyone have any knowledge or info on this specie? Are they not common in the hobby to own? This one makes really impressive chirp calls that sound much like a bird. It is approximately 1 5/8" long from snout to end.

Hello and welcome to FF. Frog you posted does appear to be Hylarana taipehensis. Since there are no care sheets or discussion about them, would state are uncommon in the hobby. Given it's adaptability to various wetland types; would set-up enclosure for a tree frog or a reed frog with either a large water dish or some water feature.
For the temperature and humidity parameters; recommend do some online research on the average yearly parameters in Taiwan's Northern area or any one of the frog's ranging locations (they are spread over Asia) and use that information as a baseline. Good luck and let us know how it goes.
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog!
