Wax monkey frog and Amazon milk frog

I haven't purchased these species yet, but I'm very interested in them. I have a few questions... I know they require different setups. And won't be housed together.
1. Is an 18x18x24 large enough to house more than two frogs for both species?
2. The tanks will be in my basement and an average temp of 55 degrees. Is this to cold for both species?

The main concern is the air temp in my basement. I have really cold winters where the temps in my basement are between 50-58 degrees.

In my personal opinion that size cage can do for a pair of milks. Never kept normal waxies so I'm not to sure. To up the air temp inside of the enclosure get a 40W house bulb. I would also get a plug in heater for knight time to keep the room temp up.

An 18x18x24 in. enclosure will give you a volume of around 34 gallons. Take out space for decor, a background, and substrate/false bottom if a vivarium and you are left with around 24 gallons. That is going to be tight for them unless two smaller males!

Milk's kept at 55F is a no go ! They should be kept in the mid 70's and will tolerate 75-85F daytime (coldest to warm basking spot in enclosure). It can drop to 70F at night; but should not go lower. You will probably need a combination of large heating pad and a ceramic heat emitter in a dome to get those enclosures 15F degrees warmer.

Absolutely no go for waxies too, they need hot spot of 90f, i dont think any of the frogs will tolerate 50f.

My basement is too large for a space heater. I'll have to use a ceramic heat emitter or a heat pad on the side of the tank. I don't want the air in the tank to be cold, but I don't want the best emitter or heat mat dry out the tank.
